Arroyo House Cypress Park
The nearby famous Arroyo Seco (Dry River) which runs from Pasadena to Downtown LA is the inspiration for this landscape architecture project. To connect the house to its two different level gardens, we designed a platform/bridge which leads from the living room and across a dry pond crushed rocks and on to the lower garden connecting three previously fragmented areas of the property. The grand front patio and steps serve as flow area for home entertaining.
