*The Director Anders Anderson requested a modern style morgue that is distinguished from others. Mr. Anderson's light hearted scrip calls for a humorous characters in a none traditional morgue environment. He also wanted the set to filled with standard equipments that would benefit the mood and storyline of this film. Our Designer Benjamin Page designed the set with classic stainless steel body storage on two of its walls to showcase the utilitarianism of the morgue. On the signature wall Mr. Page designed two giant fans to suggest movement and focus in this suppose to be an underground space. The Director also wanted a large vine type plant to suggest the irony of luscious living (plant and overweight workers) in a lifeless environment. The back wall is designed with file storage and built in modern light fixture in Minimalist style. The further background spaces are filled with chemical bottles and hospital equipments. The over all the design of this space is a modern clean morgue with a flair of Industrial Zen. The total budget for the material (purchase and rental) and design is just under $2000.
